under full time permanent (40h/week) employment contract
The Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Kigali is seeking to recruit a dedicated and experienced driver/messenger (m/f) under a permanent full-time employment contract (40 hours/week) starting on 15 August or as agreed upon.
Your profile:
- You have a valid category B driving license issued in Rwanda
- You hold a minimum of a secondary school diploma or equivalent
- You have at least 5 years of proven experience in a similar position. Experience in a diplomatic mission or international organization in Rwanda is an asset
- You have excellent knowledge of the city of Kigali and the country. Mechanical knowledge or experience is an asset
- You have First Aid and/or security practices training which is considered as an asset
- You are proficient in English and local languages
- You have the ability to use a computer and smartphone
- You are flexible, open-minded, discrete, punctual, meticulous and take initiative
- You have a sense of responsibility, the ability to respect traffic laws and safety conditions, handle pressure and work overtime when necessary
Your responsibilities:
- You transport Embassy staff, visitors, and official representatives
- You maintain vehicle log documents
- You distribute and collect mail within the city, especially to government offices, banks, post offices, etc
- You deliver bank transfer orders, checks, and retrieve receipts and settled invoices
- You collect offers and quotes for purchases and make purchases as required
- You assist during official events
- You perform building maintenance and minor repairs
- You manage product inventory
- You carry out various administrative tasks
- You maintain and manage the vehicle, including refueling, regular cleaning, and ensuring its daily mechanical and safety condition

Please note that the employment contract, including remuneration, is governed by the regulations in place in Rwanda.
