IT Engineer – For Mining Technology & Systems

Employment Type: Paid Internship (Full time offer after successful completion)
Duration: 6 months
Role Purpose
Design, deploy, operate, secure, and maintain IT and communication systems, UHF/VHF radios,
communication repeaters and amplifiers, sensors, telemetry systems, and UHF/VHF radio networks.
Core Technical Competencies
1. Networking & Infrastructure
TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs
LAN/WAN (surface & underground)
Fiber optics (single & multi-mode)
Wireless networks (Wi-Fi, PTP radios)
Network troubleshooting & monitoring
2. Communication Systems
- UHF/VHF radios
- Repeaters, antennas, amplifiers
- Emergency communication systems
3. Sensors & IoT Systems
- Environmental & equipment sensors
- Telemetry & SCADA basics
- Data acquisition & gateways
4. Servers & Data Management
- Windows & Linux servers
- Cloud basics (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Data backup & synchronization
- Large LiDAR & SLAM datasets
Education & Certifications
- A1or above in Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Network
Engineering
Other Skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently on mine sites
- Safety-focused mindset
- Clear communication & documentation
- Willingness to travel frequently
