1. Job Title: Revenue Protection Officers (5 Positions)
Job Summary
Carry out any Revenue Protection site visits to investigate, detect and prevent energy theft.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Negotiate payment terms involved and where necessary carry out any meter exchange functions. maintenance, repairs, upgrades and de-energization checks
- Where required, respond to requests on emergency callouts for energy theft activities. In addition, provide police statements when requested.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (A0) in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in inspection role and having that experience in energy inspection will be an added value.
2. Job Title: Protection Engineers (3 Positions)
Job Summary
Ensure network reliability and stability of Transmission and Distribution Grid and contribute towards secure power plants protection.
Key Roles & Requirements
- Minimize substation AC/DC system failures
- Minimize non-emergency Outages
- Corrective Action to avoid Repeated Unplanned Outages;
- Safety Implementation & Awareness
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Electrical/ Power system/ Renewable energy/Mechanical/electronics and telecommunication engineering with two (2) years of experience in power system generation and having that experience in substation/power system planning will be an added value.
- Advanced Diploma (A1) in Electrical/ Power system/ Renewable Energy /Mechanical/ Electronics and Telecommunication engineering with three (3) years of in power system generation and having that experience in substation/power system planning will be an added value.
3. Job Title: Communication Engineer (3 Positions)
Job Summary
Ensure network reliability, availability, and provide support on the telecommunication network used on the distribution of electricity network (RADIO, BPL and Fiber Optics) to enable all aspects of the network, including maintenance, sustenance of existing networks, and identification/correction of complex internetwork issues.
Key Roles & Requirements
Technical Support
- Ensures smooth transmission of data by configuring networks that fulfil the objective of the organization. And champions the upgrade of new and existing telecom equipment, hardware, and software Performs assessment aimed at resolving technical issues with respect to computer, server, network, and voice in a timely manner.
- Maintains data communication network hardware and systems, conducts research aimed at isolating, analyzing, and resolving errors
- Evaluates and updates older networks as required in accordance with specified plans
Safety
- Monitor that the National Grid and Distribution network operations are executed in compliance with Corporate, Regulatory, and statutory Safety Standards and policies.
- Maintain a record of all staff authorized to operate the electricity system with their specific levels of authorization as stipulated in regulatory guidelines
Leadership
- Provider leadership to network communication technician.
Education/Experience
Bachelor Degree(A0) in information system technology, computer science engineering, data communication and software engineering. Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Electromechanical engineering, Renewable energy, electrical Power system engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in computer systems handling, software development, networking, programming, electrical/power network system management, information technology, software management, data communication engineering, electricity network planning & development, smart grid system handling in energy sector or any recognized.
Job Title: Billing Officer
Job Summary
Contribute to the on-going financial viability of REG through timely and accurate customer billing;
Key Roles & Requirements
- Oversee, implement and streamline billing and collections processes.
- Manage the month-end closing of the billing group information.
- Monitor customers’ accounts by maintaining spreadsheets and files and tracking the status of invoices.
- Invoice customers for the energy facilities used.
- Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes.
- Special program/billing planning and implementation
- Staffing discussions and planning/interviews; Team building.
- Field Operators’ problem escalation and customer service
- Assist with the implementation of a new billing system.
Education/Experience
- Ao in Economics, Accounting, Management, Mathematics and Statistics Fluency in Kinyarwanda, bi-lingual language capability, either French/English being excellent in speaking, reading and writing, and with the level of the respective other language sufficient for general business-related, communication and correspondence.
- Profound knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, like MS Word, MS, Excel, MS Access
