Teacher of Electronics and Electricity at SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda: (Deadline 11 March 2021)

Context of the position:

SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda is an independent, non-governmental social development & child-focused organization. The Organization supports vulnerable children and young people in four locations of Kigali, Gicumbi, Kayonza, and Nyamagabe. SOS Rwanda applies a one program approach in its education, family strengthening, health, and community development programs, that support a holistic approach in the interest of the child. SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda therefore seeks to recruit four (4) staffs: (1 Dean of studies and Discipline, 1 Industry Coordinator, 1 Teacher of Electronic & Electricity, Teacher of Business/Entrepreneurship modules) at SOS Technical School Kigali.

3.    Teacher of Electronics and Electricity

The position holder will therefore be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Leads all activities within the assigned class
  • Creates a stimulating learning environment
  • Ensures the educational development of each students
  • Acts as a participating member of SOS CV Rwanda respecting organization values.

The prospective candidates should fulfill the following criteria:

  • A bachelor degree in the field specified above with at least 4 years of experience in teaching or A1 Diploma certificate with 5 years experience in teaching
  • Ability to repair electronic equipment is a must
  • Mastery of English is a must, mastery of French is a plus.
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Preference is given to Rwandan National
