TENDER ANNOUNCEMENT

AVSI Rwanda is a registered local organization at Rwanda Government Board (RGB) as local NGO under Reg.N°:717/RGB/NGO/LP/12/2020. Its mission is to promote the dignity of the person through development cooperation activities

AVSI started working in Rwanda in 1994, just after the Genocide against the Tutsis, initially engaged in humanitarian emergency interventions.

We operate in 6 Rwandan districts in different areas of intervention. We accompany more than 240,000 people with project of Education, Child protection and Youth Rights, Gender equality and Women’s Empowerment, Mental health, Economic Empowerment, Climate Change and Agriculture.

AVSI Rwanda under KUNGAHARA MUHINZI Project funded by the European Union would like to provide livestock to the beneficiaries located in Gicumbi, Ruhango and Nyanza districts detailed as follows:

Pig (sow)

  •  Pregnant sow ready to give birth with at least 120 kg (with Artificial insemination certificate;
  •  Improved breed with landrace, large white, pietrain, comb rough and Duroc (with more than 50 % of improved breed)
  •  Dewormed;
  •  Sourced from a recognized farm to prevent from contaminating other animals.
  •  Diagnosed swine Erysipelas & African swine fever
  •  The supplier should provide the insurance of pigs
  •  The supplier should do the follow up of one month before handing them to beneficiaries, thus inform AVSI Rwanda for joint visit
  • Insurance of one year for pigs, chicken, goats
  • Guaranty of 3 months
  • Certified by Sector/District veterinary
  • Certificate of origin, certified by a Veterinary of the District of animal origin, RAB should be involved in selection and taking samples of selected animals for laboratory testing (Lab Tests will be paid by Tenderers)
  • EBM invoice and tax registration
  • Valid Tax clearance certificate from Rwanda Revenue Authority

Goat

  •  Pregnant goat ready to give birth with at least 15 to 25 kg;
  •  Cross of Boar or Gala goats
  •  Dewormed
  •  Diagnosed PPR (Peste des petits ruminants) and Brucellosis
  •  The supplier should do the follow up within 15 days before handing them over to beneficiaries

Rabbit

  •  Neozelandaise and californidine;
  •  Has at least 1.5 kg;
  •  Pregnant rabbit ready to give birth;
  •  Dewormed;
  •  Sourced from a recognized farm to prevent from contaminating other animals.
  •  The supplier should do the follow up within 15 days before handing them over to beneficiaries

Hen

  •  Hen of 5-month-old of age;
  •  Breed: Dual purpose (Sasso)
  •  Vaccinated (with certificate of vaccination);
  •  Sourced from a recognized farm to prevent from contaminating other animals.
  •  The supplier should do the follow up within 15 days before handing them over to beneficiaries

It’s mandatory to separately calculate the transportation cost per sector because breeds will be delivered to the Sector Offices. Hence, no advance is allowed.

  • The Bids Documents in a Sealed Envelope, shall be submitted to AVSI Rwanda coordination office located at | Kigali | Gasabo – Kimironko | Bibare | Inyamibwa village |KG 145 St. House N10, no later than Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 4:30 Pm
  • Public Opening: FridayJuly 26, 2024 from 2:00 Pm
