Update: Rainford Kalaba is in a coma after a serious car accident

Former TP Mazembe Captain and Zambian national team, Rainford Kalaba is in a coma after following a serious car accident in Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia.

This sad news for the football fans in Zambia, friends and Kalaba’s family came to light today when the police in that country announced that the former midfilder in TP Mazembe had a serious car accident and reported to have passed away.

The news that Kalaba is in a coma announced by Nzeba Chanda, a Public Relations Officer at University Teaching Hospital(UTH). Chanda said that” Rainford Kalaba is not dead but he is in a coma contrary to what various reports were saying.

Rainford Kalaba born 14 August 1986 was a former Zambian professional player, who played as a midfilder for lina foot club TP Mazembe in DRC and he played in different clubs like Afrisports Kitwe United, Nice B in France, Zesco United, Braga, Gil Vicente and Leiria in Portugal.

Rainford Kalaba played for Zambia’s national team and captained it, the 37 year old had been retired from professional footaball for 9 months ago.
