6 Job Positions of Strategic Investment/ Legal/Financial Analyst at Rwanda Development Board

JOB DESCRIPTION/ LEGAL ANALYST

  • Conduct thorough commercial and legal research and due diligence for investment projects that are currently being negotiated and determine the best possible commercial and legal framework for deals;
  • Read and analyze all required legal agreements and documents to identify any unacceptable/unfavorable terms, consult with relevant stakeholders on the impact of such terms, and take action to eliminate or modify terms to reach a mutually acceptable agreement;
  • Prepare briefs on negotiated deals;
  • Work closely with accelerator on strategic deals at advanced stages.
  • Engage closely and frequently with relevant external parties, such as government departments and agencies, to establish alignment on transaction structure, incentives, and negotiation points;
  • Prepare, negotiate, and finalise all legal papers and contracts required to complete investment projects.
  • Develop original solutions to solve complex commercial and legal issues to break through any negotiation deadlocks and structure deals that are mutually beneficial and strike a balance between investor needs and national priorities;
  • Prepare full and accurate records of discussions, documents, and agreements on all investment deals that have been negotiated.
  • Respond to investor inquiries with thorough and accurate information on transactions and special incentives;

FINANCIAL ANALYST JOB DESCRIPTION 

  • Review and evaluate the financial viability of projects;
  • Undertake rigorous commercial and financial modeling and due diligence for investment deals that are under negotiation;
  • Create, negotiate, and finalize all paperwork and agreements necessary to close investment deals;
  • Read and evaluate all financial proposals and papers; note any unfavorable or unacceptable conditions; speak with appropriate parties about

  • Work closely and frequently with pertinent outside parties, such as government departments and agencies, to ensure that the contract structure, incentives, and points of discussion are all in agreement;
  • Respond to investor inquiries about contracts that are being negotiated with thorough and accurate information;
  • Construct arrangements that are mutually advantageous and strike a balance between investor needs and national priorities in order to handle complicated commercial and financial challenges, break any negotiation deadlocks;
  • Create complete and accurate records of all negotiations for investment projects, including all documents and agreements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Law, Economics , Statistics , Finance, Business Administration with specialization in Finance, Management with Specialization in Finance with 3 Years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Statistics , Finance, Business Administration with specialization in Finance, Economics, Management with specialisation in Finance with 5 Years of relevant experience

  • Strong competency with the necessary computer applications and tools, especially with Microsoft Excel and data management/query
  • French and Kinyarwanda proficiency is a plus;
