Truck & forklift driver at SKOL Brewery Ltd
The Department of Human Resources would like to inform its estimated staff and the Public of opportunities for the position of Truck & forklift driver.
Any person qualified according to the criteria defined below can apply. SBL employees with the ambition to apply are equally welcome.
Job Requirements:
- Hold a Rwandan driving license category C, E & F.
- Have at least 2 years of professional experience in driving trucks & special machines like forklift.
- Able to understand instructions.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Be in a good physical & health condition.
- Must be able to speak & understand French or English.
- Must have a team spirit, working independently & integrity.
Main responsibilities
- Deliver goods while operating a truck, sometimes over district routes or several rural areas.
- Load and unload finish goods/empties with forklift.
- Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
- Drive long distances.
- Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
- Inspect the truck before and after the trip, and record any defects found.
- Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
- Keep a log of daily activities.
- Keep the truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
- Get goods to client on time.
- Maintain logs of each trip and submit log trip sheet to the line manager.
