Position Overview:

PesaPal Rwanda is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager with expertise in POS & E-commerce sales to join our innovative team. In this critical role, you will drive our business growth by harnessing your deep understanding of the rapidly evolving POS and E-commerce landscape. As a pivotal member of our business development team, you’ll lead strategic initiatives, conduct insightful market analysis, and foster enduring relationships. Your core focus will be on identifying new opportunities, crafting compelling strategies, and delivering tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.

Familiarity with key players, regulations, and market dynamics is essential for success in this role.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinker- You possess the ability to decipher data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to propel business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Generation & Prospecting o Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the POS and E-commerce sectors through networking, prospecting, and cold calling.
    • Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the POS and E-commerce market to pitch products and services to potential clients.
    • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads, nurturing relationships, and guiding prospects through the sales process from initial contact to conversion.
  2. Customer Relationships and Account Management
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers, serving as their primary point of contact and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
    • Provide personalized assistance, address inquiries, resolve issues, and handle customer feedback and complaints with professionalism, striving to deliver exceptional service at every touchpoint.
  3. Market Analysis & Sales Strategy o Collaborate closely with country leadership team to develop and implement strategic sales plans, promotional campaigns, and pricing initiatives tailored to specific product categories, target markets, and customer segments.
    • Conduct thorough market research in the POS and E-commerce sectors to identify new opportunities and emerging trends.
    • Analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to develop strategic plans for business growth in the POS and E-commerce domains.
  4. Reporting & Compliance o Ensure strict compliance with merchant onboarding and KYC procedures, maintaining alignment with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
    • Effectively manage data within the company’s CRM system, ensuring accuracy in entry and maintenance

Must Have Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years in sales preferably within the fintech industry, with demonstrated achievements in meeting and exceeding sales targets, driving revenue growth, and fostering customer loyalty.
  • BA in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software o Proficiency in English Language is an added advantage.
