Job Summary:
As a Finance and Logistics Assistant at EMINING & IT Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both the finance and logistics departments. Your responsibilities will include assisting with financial transactions, inventory management, and administrative tasks, ensuring seamless operations, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s financial and supply chain processes.
About EMINING & IT Ltd:
EMINING & IT Ltd is an EPC contractor specializing in power solutions and engineering services. We provide comprehensive after-sales support and develop project plans and strategies for our customers. Currently, we are undertaking two projects involving the supply of solar home systems and Cookstoves from our office located in Remera, Kigali, Rwanda.
Finance Support:
Accurately record financial transactions, such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, using accounting software or manual ledgers.
Maintain the general ledger by recording debits and credits, reconciling accounts, and ensuring precision in financial reporting.
Assist with bank reconciliation by meticulously comparing and reconciling bank statements with the company’s financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure transactional accuracy.
Handle banking activities, including cash deposits, check processing, and other financial transactions.
Logistics Support:
Prepare customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
Manage inventory by maintaining accurate records of stock levels, monitoring movements, and conducting regular reconciliations.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure prompt delivery of goods and services, resolving any shipment discrepancies or issues.
Support the logistics team in tracking and managing shipments, including liaising with carriers and maintaining shipment documentation.
Administrative Duties:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to both the finance and logistics departments, including managing correspondence and organizing departmental files.
Address inquiries and requests from internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers regarding finance and logistics matters.
Liaise with external stakeholders, such as landlords, government agencies, and private institutions, as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, logistics, or a related field preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and environments.
* Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks, and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building across departments.
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying inefficiencies and proposing effective solutions.
* Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
